the OWNERS & founders

Just 15 miles from Staniel Cay and nine miles from Black Point, the Farmer’s Cay Yacht Club and Marina sits on the northwest end of Farmer’s Cay, Exuma. The Yacht Club, not known by many, has been discovered by yachtsmen exploring with their friends and family from around the world. Established in 1989 by proud owners Roosevelt and Shirley Nixon, the Farmer’s Cay Yacht Club and Marina has become a must return stop for guests. Some guests choose to take the short 35 minute flight from Nassau; while others cruise in on their yachts or catamarans from neighboring Cays to visit and experience this hidden treasure.

Hidden Treasure

The Farmer’s Cay Yacht Club and Marina stands alone on Little Farmer’s Cay, Exuma as a one stop location for guests. The Yacht club is a combination of dock slots, shore power, moorings, a full service restaurant, bar, internet access, laundry facility, ice for purchase, souvenir shop and rooms and apartment for short term stay. The review of the dining experience, amenities, activities, and customer service can only be measured by the many returning customers who bring others with them year after year. It is great to hear someone else’s experience and admire the treasure through their pictures, however, some things you just must see for yourselves.

For 30 years, this established business has constantly been a reliable stop for yachtsmen and their friends and family. Little Farmer’s Cay, Exuma offers a “Swim With the Turtles” experience and souvenir shopping at FCYC Treasure Shop and Daryl’s Gift Shop. Stop by and enjoy all of the beauty of this hidden treasure. The view of the harbor from the outdoor dining area is breathtaking. Don’t just imagine the view, make the view a reality for you. Stop by and see us as often as you can. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you as the cherished guest you are to the Farmer’s Cay Yacht Club and Marina.
